Fog Computing on Steroids

Industry 4.0 is bringing disruption to many companies, impacting how customers are engaged, how technologies are employed and how value is created. The design thinking methodology aims to guide companies to discover the key insights and define the correct course of action when developing new innovative products and services.

For this year’s HannoverMesse, Design Group Italia (DGI) formed a partnership with Joinpad, an advanced Augmented Reality company, and Nebbiolo Technologies, a pioneer in Fog Computing applied to industrial automation.
The end-to-end solution objective being to seamlessly integrate human centred design with cutting edge interface technology, supported by state of the art industrial infrastructure.

NOTEs:
I work with FogComputing since 2015 and Augmented reality since… 1997!
Thanks to Mauro Rubin (Joinpad CEO) I am also involved as business partner (and former President) at Joinpad. As DGI we are also involved in AR/VR user interface design.

The Hannover Messe is one of the world’s largest trade fairs. It is held on the Hanover Fairground in Hanover, Lower Saxony, Germany. Typically, there are about 6,500 exhibitors and 250,000 visitors.

We -ad DGI- have a very strong experience (25+ years) in the industrial environments and -together with customers like ABB, 3M, Negribossi and many others- we brought service design (customer voice, stake holder mapping, personas, etc) close to the production line. We are designers with boots on the ground too.

DGI designed the Brand, a few digital things and ALL the physical PRODUCTS branded Nebbiolo Technologies.
